Internship Blog – Week 2

the internship seeking activities you are doing

As I mentioned last week, I have succeeded in finding an internship. With this week’s assignment, I have updated my LinkedIn page to be more comprehensive of my current employment, schooling, and various other noteworthy information about me since last updating the site in the end of Spring of last year. I have notifications set to weekly for job opportunities in web development within a 25km radius of me, so here’s hoping things come through!

I do have an internship lined up with the limousine business, and I’m working with Tammy and my Client to work out the finer details, including pay and objectives. There are plenty of ideas on how I want to tackle this website, but I have to refrain and remain focused on completing and receiving an approved Project Scope before work can begin.

the experiences you are having

Within the series of emails between myself and Tammy, I have experienced that I am not great at defining what I want to do with the website. I am certainly more focused on replicating the functionality of the website rather than updating the looks; the limousine company receives a majority of his business by people finding him on the web. In that sense it is crucial that the Form and Contact methods remain in tact through the transition. I just needed to elaborate further on the rest of what I wanted to with the site.
